Indoor Track Athlete-of-the-Week: Maya Pearcy, Rocky Mountain (Mont.)
Pearcy, a junior from Columbus, Wis., was selected to Track Athlete-of-the-Week.
She ran the third fastest time in the NAIA and the Frontier Conference’s leading 800-meter run this season, producing the NAIA ‘A’ automatic qualifying time of 2 minutes, 14.85 seconds to win the title of the University of Mary (N.D.) Winter Classic for Rocky Mountain (Mont.).
Her time is also the new school record in the 800-meter run.
This is Pearcy’s first career Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Women’s Indoor Track Athlete-of-the-Week honor.
