Indoor Field Athlete-of-the-Week: Dylan Dahlgren, Dickinson State (N.D.)
Dahlgren, a senior from Soldotna, Alaska, was named the Field Athlete-of-the-Week.
Dahlgren set a new school record in the weight throw and captured a pair of throwing titles at the NCAA Division II University of Mary (N.D.) Marauders Indoor Opener for Dickinson State (N.D.). He threw an NAIA ‘A’ automatic qualifying mark of 19.24 meters (63 feet, 1.5 inches), which is good for No. 2 in the NAIA weight throw as of Tuesday.
He added a personal record 15.89 meters (52 feet, 1.75 inches to win the shot-put title.
This is Dahlgren’s third career Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Men’s Indoor Field Athlete-of-the-Week.
