Indoor Field Athlete-of-the-Week: Dylan Dahlgren, Dickinson State (N.D.)
Dahlgren, a senior from Soldotna, Alaska, was named as the Field Athlete-of-the-Week.
He posted the NAIA ‘B’ provisional qualifying weight throw mark for Dickinson State (N.D.) in their season opening meet, the NCAA Division II Mike Thorson Classic & Multi. He threw 17.97 meters (58 feet, 11.5 inches) to win the weight throw title.
Dahlgren’s weight throw mark leads the Frontier Conference and third in the NAIA as of Tuesday.
He added a third-place finish in the shot-put, tossing 15.40 meters (50 feet, 6.25 inches). His shot-put mark is second best in the league and seventh in the NAIA.
This is Dahlgren’s first career Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Men’s Indoor Field Athlete-of-the-Week.
