Outdoor Track Athlete-of-the-Week: Brycen Gardner, Carroll
Gardner, a junior from Spokane, Wash., was chosen as the Track Athlete-of-the-Week.
Gardner won the Frontier Conference 3000-meter steeplechase championship for Carroll, contested within the NCAA Division I meet Montana Open. With altitude conversion, he ran his fastest time over and advanced to the NAIA national mee with the ‘A’ automatic time (9 minutes, 13.35 seconds).
Gardner finished the race with a time of 9 minutes, 20.03 seconds for the Saints. His time is currently sixth fastest in the NAIA this season.
