Indoor Field Athlete-of-the-Week: Rylee Armstrong, Montana Tech
Armstrong, a sophomore from Lewistown, Mont., was selected as the Field Athlete-of-the-Week.
Armstrong leaped 5.67 meters (18 feet, 7.25 inches), which is the NAIA ‘B’ provisional qualifying standard in the long jump, at the Bobcat Performance for Montana Tech. Her mark is currently tied for eighth best long jump mark in the NAIA. She finished third overall and finished as the top NAIA place finisher behind a pair of NCAA Division I athletes.
Armstrong also cleared the height of 1.55 meters (5 feet, 1 inch) to place fourth in the high jump for the Orediggers.
