Indoor Field Athlete-of-the-Week: Trystin Chapel, Rocky Mountain
Chapel, a freshman from Billings, Mont., was selected as the Field Athlete-of-the-Week.
Chapel had an eventful collegiate debut, setting the new program record in the men’s triple jump with a final mark of 13.32 meters (43 feet, 8.5 inches), placing second overall for Rocky Mountain at the David Little Alumni meet hosted by Black Hills State (S.D.).
He's the first Battlin’ Bear to surpass 13 meters in the triple jump.
Chapel also recorded the fourth-best long jump mark in program history, taking third place with a final mark of 6.45 meters (21 feet, 2 inches).
