Indoor Field Athlete-of-the-Week: Jadyn Vermillion, Montana Tech
Vermillion, a senior from Myrtle Creek, Ore., was selected as the Field Athlete-of-the-Week for the second straight edition.
Vermillion won the Spokane Indoor Challenge in the long jump for the Orediggers, featuring schools primarily from NCAA Division I. She jumped 5.68 meters (18 feet, 7.75 inches) on her very first attempt.
Her mark is the NAIA ‘B’ provisional standard qualifying mark. It was also her personal record for Montana Tech.
